NICE guidance recommends universal colorectal tumour testing

The UK National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has issued guidance recommending that all colorectal cancers are tested for possible Lynch syndrome using mismatch repair immunohistochemistry or microsatellite instability.

This breakthrough has been facilitated by the work of a number of InSiGHT members who have gathered evidence in support of this strategy, and lobbied to have it implemented.
